Hello my fellow Educators! In our session we’re going to dig into something really important: how to care for our mental and emotional well-being as educators. We often hear that we can 'fix' ourselves with self-care practices or mindset shifts. And while those things matter, the truth is, our mental health is shaped by so many factors outside of our control—things like trauma, race, financial struggles, family history, and the systemic challenges we face. You can’t just 'self-care' your way out of all of that.

But here’s the thing: we need to be compassionate with ourselves. So often, we try to power through, but we also have to acknowledge the complexity of our experience. During our time together, we’ll explore how to extend more grace to ourselves—and how to laugh more, set appropriate boundaries when it feels overwhelming. We’re going to talk about the goodness we bring to this work, how we show up every day for our students, even when it feels like too much. And we’ll look at how to take care of ourselves so we can keep doing this important work without burning out.

This isn’t just another PD on theory—it’s about giving ourselves permission to be human, to be realistic, and to find ways to be kind to ourselves. Because the truth is, we can’t pour from an empty cup. Let’s dive into how we can do this work with more compassion and joy—together.
