Routinizing the Mundane LIMITED
Friday April 11, 2025 8:00am - 11:00am PDT
Teaching in public schools can be incredibly rewarding yet challenging. How can we ensure that each day brings joy and connection while effectively managing the complexities of our roles? The answer often lies in the power of routines.

In this dynamic and interactive session, we’ll explore how well-crafted routines can transform the classroom environment, enhance student engagement, and support both educators and students alike. I’ll share my top five essential routines that have proven effective across various districts, schools, and grade levels. These routines are designed not only to streamline daily tasks but also to bolster care, connection, and content delivery.

What You’ll Gain:

Routine Sharing: Exchange ideas with fellow educators and discover new strategies that work in different classroom settings.
Practical Takeaways: Leave with a ready-to-implement routine tailored to your needs.
Inspiration: Consider additional routines to enrich your teaching practice and foster a positive classroom environment.
Come prepared to engage! Please bring a simple 5-step routine from your daily life—whether it’s your teeth brushing, hair washing, or sweeping routine—to share with a colleague. This exercise will help us delve into the power of routines and their impact on our professional and personal lives.

Join us to learn how to infuse your teaching day with structured joy and efficiency. Together, we’ll turn the mundane into meaningful moments and create a supportive and thriving classroom experience for both you and your students.

Regulate Before You Educate LIMITED
Friday April 11, 2025 12:00pm - 3:00pm PDT
Hello my fellow Educators! In our session we’re going to dig into something really important: how to care for our mental and emotional well-being as educators. We often hear that we can 'fix' ourselves with self-care practices or mindset shifts. And while those things matter, the truth is, our mental health is shaped by so many factors outside of our control—things like trauma, race, financial struggles, family history, and the systemic challenges we face. You can’t just 'self-care' your way out of all of that.

But here’s the thing: we need to be compassionate with ourselves. So often, we try to power through, but we also have to acknowledge the complexity of our experience. During our time together, we’ll explore how to extend more grace to ourselves—and how to laugh more, set appropriate boundaries when it feels overwhelming. We’re going to talk about the goodness we bring to this work, how we show up every day for our students, even when it feels like too much. And we’ll look at how to take care of ourselves so we can keep doing this important work without burning out.

This isn’t just another PD on theory—it’s about giving ourselves permission to be human, to be realistic, and to find ways to be kind to ourselves. Because the truth is, we can’t pour from an empty cup. Let’s dive into how we can do this work with more compassion and joy—together.
